Welcome to the Sea Chest. The Sea Chest is a quiet, cosy cabin located on beautiful Savary Island, the gateway to Desolation Sound, British Columbia. Boasting several miles of sandy beaches, Savary Island has been described as "a jewel in the ocean" and "Canada's answer to Hawaii".

	Kilometres of hiking and biking trails wind through the lush growth of fir, cedar, maple, alder, pine, yew and arbutus that cover most of the island. The Sea Chest is the ideal retreat for people wanting to get away from the hectic pace of city living... for a romantic, relaxing weekend or an extraordinary outdoor experience including diving, fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and more. Wildlife on Savary Island includes deer, squirrels, otter, mink and numerous bald eagles. The warm waters surrounding Savary Island make it an excellent location for swimming, water skiing, boating, scuba diving, fishing and shell fishing. The sea chest is a private, fully equipped cabin overlooking the waterfront , with access to beautiful sandy beaches.
The accommodation includes 3 double beds plus a sleeping loft. If you are interested in fishing the Strait of Georgia or diving in spectacular Desolation Sound, charters are available. Savary Island is located at the mouth of Desolation Sound. You can get there by float plane from Courtenay (Island Air) or arrange flights from Vancouver (Baxter Air or Harbour Air). There is also a water taxi (Lund Water Taxi) that travels a short distance from the mainland to the Island, departing from the town of Lund.
